If you own a scanner you can follow these simple instructions and scan the photos yourself.
You will need to set up two different settings:
1. The File Type: Preferably TIF, but JPG or JPEG is also fine.


2. The Resolution (DPI): Here the higher the number, the better. If your scanner can do 600DPI or more, just go as high as it can. If not, then please scan your photos at 300DPI. Do not go lower than 300DPI because that's the least amount of resolution needed for good prints and to also be able to manipulate the pixels when restoring your photos.


Keep in mind that your scanner software interface might differ slightly, but these settings remain the same. They may just be in different locations on the screen.
